Updated: Nov 6, 2023

So you've booked your tickets to the Sky Racing Pink Ribbon Raceday featuring the Coastal Demolitions & Asbestos Removal Pink Ribbon Cup and now you have the raceday dilemma of what to wear.

Don't worry, you're not alone. Understanding what suits you and works for your body shape, observing what's in season, deciding between a hat or fascinator etc... can all be quite overwhelming. Let alone deciding what to wear should you be considering entering our Pacific Fair Fashions on the Field.

Never fear, our 2023, judges Susie the Stylist and Louise Chambers are here to share a little about their fashion experience and some tips for those of you considering participating in Fashions on the Field.

Susie the Stylist

After operating her own store in Auckland where she designed and produced one-off pieces, Susie moved with her husband to the Gold Coast 33 years ago. She then worked as a model and stylist for a modelling agency in Brisbane, before having a 'light-bulb' moment and branching out on her own as a a Personal Stylist.

Her styling has seen her working with clients of many major shopping Centres, Westfield Garden City, Sanctuary Cove, Runaway Bay, Australia Fair, Mt Ommaney to name a few, and is currently a Stylist at Pacific Fair where she has been for many years. Susie's advice for women aged 45+ is

"You must have fun with your age, body shape and lifestyle. Most of my clients think they become invisible after the age of 40, or any number that has a zero on it! I say go for it! Dress for your personality, create your own personal style, and run with it!"

And her style recommendations for our Pacific Fair Fashions on the Field?
  • Embrace your personality.

  • Respect the rules.

  • Pink is perfection, so wear it with confidence".
