It's an update that took a while for us to finalise, but we can now safely confirm and announce that the Sky Racing Pink Ribbon Raceweek which includes all the funds raised at the Sky Racing Pink Ribbon Cup featuring the Coastal Demolitions Pink Ribbon Cup; coupled with funds from the Brisbane Greyhound Racing Club Pink Ribbon meeting on September 14; harness racing at Albion Park; and the inaugural Pink Ribbon Raceday at the Sunshine Coast Turf Club has proven to be a huge success, with exactly $350,587 raised for the National Breast Cancer Foundation.
Pink Ribbon Cup Raeday founder Robyn Cameron said
"Almost 750 people had attended the official National Breast Cancer Foundation event on the Gold Coast, with auctions and raffles helping to raise over $250,000 on the Pink Ribbon Cup Day alone, but to have an extra $100,000 from the other Pink Week events added into the kitty is just outstanding!"
She added
"It was again about the community coming together to support a great cause but also having a great day at the races"
